Israel At War: Send Encouraging Words to Israel
If you would like to help Israel during this time, please click on the giving link below and select “War Time Help.” We will send your donation in its entirety to Messianic Jewish ministries in Israel in the hardest-hit areas.
Donation Report:
Since our last update, we have received $1,150 in donations for Israel. So far, we have sent $7,969 to ministries in the hardest-hit areas.
Here are the Messianic community’s greatest needs:
- Some soldiers need military plate carriers (special vests); these cost $1,400 each – we have a ministry that can get them into the soldiers’ hands,
- Finances to provide care packages for soldiers,
- Bulletproof vests for those ministering in the war zone, and
- Assistance to displaced families forced to evacuate their homes.
Here is the latest:
- Israel has secured the northern part of Gaza while they continue to fight off attacks within Gaza and from terrorist groups in Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank.
- U.S. Military has struck pro-Iranian militia strikes in Syria three times since the war began.
- Anti-Semitic attacks are up 300% in the U.S., while other countries see much more (Brazil has seen a 961% surge).
- Hamas still holds at least 240 hostages in Gaza.
- The media is increasingly portraying Israel in a negative light.
Here is how you can pray:
- For the salvation of all Israel (Rom. 10:1), it is time for God’s prodigal son to come home!
- For the salvation of the Palestinians (1 Tim. 2:1-6)
- For the hostages who are still held captive in Gaza, click this link for the names of the hostages held by Hamas.
- For the believers (in Israel and Gaza) to be strengthened and positioned to assist those in need and minister to them (Eph. 6:19)
- For Christians to be protected from anti-Semitism and other forms of hate influenced by media bias (Ps. 137:5-6; Matt. 24:12)
- We have shortened our prayer list and encourage you to click this link for a prayer list from Succat Hallel, one of our partner organizations in Israel, a 24-hour prayer room in Jerusalem.
Reflection:
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
Isaiah 40:1-2
As more of the world turns against Israel, you and I can comfort the Jewish people with our words. If you would like to comfort the Jewish people, you can email us with words of encouragement, and we will send them to friends in Israel.
