Israel Is at War: Day Seven

If you would like to help Israel during this time, please click on the giving link below and select “War Time Help.” We will send your donation in its entirety to Israeli ministries in the hardest-hit areas in Israel.

Donation Report:

Since our last update, we have received $902 in donations for pastors in Israel. So far, we have sent $2,129 divided among congregations in S’derot, Ashdod, and Ashkelon, each just a short distance from the Gaza border.

As soon as we receive your donation, we will get it into the hands of those in need immediately. Thank you for blessing the believers in Israel during this tumultuous time.

Here is the latest:

  • Hamas still holds hostages in Gaza.
  • The IDF has entered Gaza’s outskirts; many expect a full operation to take place soon.
  • Hezbollah has attacked Israeli military positions in the north.
  • More than 1,300 Israelis have been killed.
  • More than 1,800 Palestinians have been killed.
  • Thousands have been wounded.
  • It looks like things may get much worse before they get better. But we trust in the Almighty God.

The news will cover the political aspects of the war. We must remember that there is also a spiritual aspect to the war. Let’s wage war in prayer.

Here is how you can pray:

  • For the salvation of all Israel (Rom. 10:1),  It is time for God’s prodigal son to come home!
  • For the salvation of the Palestinians (1 Tim. 2:1-6),  God is mighty to save!
  • For the hostages who are held captive in Gaza: pray for divine protection and miraculous release.
  • For the plans of Israel’s enemies to be confused and brought to nothing (Ps. 33:10)
  • For the hand of God to protect the people of the area (Ps. 127:1)
  • For the believers (in Israel and Gaza) to be strengthened and positioned to assist those in need and minister to them (Eph. 6:19)

For reflection:

In Bible times, the believers who lived in Israel faced a time of famine. A prophet named Agabus foretold that the famine was coming, and the group of Antioch believers raised an offering to send relief to the Jewish believers in Judea (Israel).

You and I have the blessed privilege to send aid to our brothers in their time of need. Millions of dollars are being sent to aid Israel during this time; however, most organizations do not include Messianic Jewish ministries in their distributions. Thank you for blessing our brothers and sisters in Messiah Jesus so they know they are not alone.

Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius). So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
Acts 11:27-30
