Israel Is at War

If you would like to help Israel during this time, please click on this link and select “War Time Help.” We will send your donation in its entirety to partner ministries who are providing needed assistance to war victims.

Here is the latest:

  • Saturday morning, rockets started shooting into the South of Israel from Gaza
  • Hamas terrorists are behind the attacks
  • One hundred Israelis have been killed in the attacks
  • 900 Israelis have been wounded
  • Two hundred Palestinians have been killed in the attacks
  • Hundreds of Palestinians have been wounded

The attack came fifty years and one day after the Yom Kippur War.

The news will cover the political aspects of the war. We must remember that there is also a spiritual aspect to the war.

For example, here is a report we just received from Israel:

“[Israel’s] leaders announced that terrorists invaded and held a family of believers hostage…the whole congregation declared “Hand of God, Hand of God!” We just heard that Special Forces arrived to free this family from captivity, but some of their children’s friends were kidnapped!”

The Bible says:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:12-13

The fight we are called to stand firm in is prayer.

Here is how you can pray:

  • For the kidnapped children to be set free
  • For the salvation of all Israel (Rom. 10:1)
  • For the salvation of the Palestinians (1 Tim. 2:1-6)
  • For the peace of Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6-9)
  • For the hand of God to protect the people of the area (Ps. 127:1)
  • For the believers to be strengthened and positioned to assist those in need and minister to them (Eph. 6:19)

Thank you for praying and for being watchmen on the wall.
