Israel At War: Anti-Semitism Rising
Donation Report:
Since our last update, we have received $1,890 in donations for Israel. So far, we have sent $6,819 to ministries in the hardest-hit areas.
Here are the Messianic community’s greatest needs:
Of all the updates we receive, the recurring theme is clear: the Messianic community needs resources to minister to others. Here are the two most pressing needs.
- Finances to provide care packages for soldiers to meet their needs and to minister the love of Yeshua
- Assistance to displaced families forced to evacuate their homes
Here is the latest:
- Israel is fighting off attacks from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank and intercepting missiles from Yemen.
- Iran is continuing to threaten a larger war.
- Hamas still holds at least 240 hostages in Gaza; one IDF soldier held hostage was rescued by the IDF.
- Anti-semitic attacks are happening worldwide. The global Jewish community is facing threats in frightening ways, even in the United States.
- The media is increasingly portraying Israel in a negative light.
Here is how you can pray:
- For the salvation of all Israel (Rom. 10:1), it is time for God’s prodigal son to come home!
- For the salvation of the Palestinians (1 Tim. 2:1-6)
- For the hostages who are still held captive in Gaza, click this link for the names of the hostages held by Hamas.
- For the believers (in Israel and Gaza) to be strengthened and positioned to assist those in need and minister to them (Eph. 6:19)
- For Christians to be protected from anti-Semitism and other forms of hate influenced by media bias (Ps. 137:5-6; Matt. 24:12)
- We have shortened our prayer list and encourage you to click this link for a prayer list from Succat Hallel, one of our partner organizations in Israel, a 24-hour prayer room in Jerusalem.
Reflection:
In my devotional reading this morning, I read a commentary on Simeon’s reaction to seeing Jesus in the flesh as a baby:
For my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.
Luke 2:30-32
God sent Jesus to be a light for the gentiles and glory for the Jews. This plan continues to be the plan of God…Yeshua still is a light for the gentiles and glory for the Jews. Let us pray that the Jews will receive God’s glory through the revelation of Yeshua Messiah. The world is reeling in hate towards the Jews, but God’s love is deeper still.
It is time for all of Israel (all Jews everywhere) to be saved. I believe it with all my being; please join me in interceding for their salvation.
